Member Obligation

TriFactor Triathlon Club is a member of Tri Manitoba, our provincial association. As such, we are responsible to host an annual event. Club members must make a time commitment to volunteer in the organization and/or execution of that event. This year (2012) TriFactor is holding a Family Duathlon on Sunday June 3rd at Kildonan Park. All cub members are expected to volunteer time towards this event in some capacity.

Bingos

TriFactor has joined the TriMB program to work bingos through Manitoba Lotteries (Club Regent or McPhillips Station). This is program has provided a revenue source for the both the club and our members. Because TriFactor is a young and growing club, bingos have provided team members more opportunities for training, social activities and other perks, such as specialized clinics and club gear. The club directs 50% of bingo profits to club development for the benefit of our athletes. The remainder is allocated to the participating members and can be used for various triathlon related activities or purchases in accordance with the bingo regulations. For every person who participates, $65 will be divided in half, with $32.50 dedicated to the team and the other half to the participant. Currently, since our team has demonstrated strong interest in this program, this is a voluntary program and not a mandatory requirement for club members. However, the club executive reserves the right to make participation in bingos mandatory if interest wanes mid-year. In such a scenario, the executive would decide at the end of the bingo year (April) if the club will participate again the following year.
